2015 : A reading challenge!

2015 was a difficult reading year.  The chemo really messed with my concentration.  You would be inclined to think that with so much more time spent confined to home or hospital, my reading tally would have been so much higher.  The trouble was that I wasn't really up to challenging reading, preferring the more escapist genres, and the mental effort of writing reviews was just too much!

Favourites for 2015 :
Fates And Furies by Lauren Groff
The Shore by Sara Taylor
Sweetland by Michael Crummey
The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen

Close behind them ... and unable to decide between them what to put in my Top 5  :
Broken Harbour by Tana French
Fortune Smiles by Adam Johnson
Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri
A Song of Shadows by John Connolly

And some reading diappointments ... eagerly awaited new books from favourite authors :
The Buried Giant ~ Kazuo Ishiguro
The Cartel ~ Don Winslow
The Girl In The Spider's Web ~ David Lagercrantz (Larssen rip off)
A Little Life  ~ Hanya Yanagihara
The Mark And The Void~ Paul Murray
The Secret Chord ~ Geraldine Brooks
