Down Cemetery Road ~ Mick Herron

OK

This was the first in the series.  Man! it would have to get better!!

So freakin cliched, So boring, So not Slow Horses!!!

This review on Goodreads says it well :

I guess when you chose to read a schlocky novel that has something to do with cartoonish assassins, British military spies, hard-bitten lady detectives, and a dim-witted heroine, you deserve what you get

Disappearing Earth ~ Julia Phillips

 **** FAVOURITE

In some ways it reminded me of The Island of Women in that it introduced me to a place I knew nothing about.  This was set on the Kamchatka Peninsula.  While the heart of the storyline is the disappearance of two (three) young girls, there is also so much about the way of life, the location, the problems, the displacement of the indigenous people.

Dune Messiah ~ Frank Herbert

So little happens other than major Paul angst.

All is clouded in mumbo jumbo deep-and-meaningfuls.
